Asylum for the Infirm

When my mom was very young, she lived very close to the Asylum for the Infirm. The Asylum was taken by the German occupiers. There was a guard outside the gate. She was small so he let her pass. She saw a blanket and took it, but the guard saw her and told her to leave the blanket behind. She said yes but then went back to where she had thrown the blanket and picked it up. She ran quickly to the house. She was very afraid that they would understand her and they would want to kill her.
