When I was young, and specifically in 1962, in Ioannina there was a big earthquake and for 15 days aftershocks followed. We were all scared. The first earthquake brought many disasters. After this incident we were afraid to enter our homes. We understood the aftershocks from the storks that rose and circled around us. The days passed as we all slept outside. Fortunately, it was summer and it was not so cold. That’s how we spent the rest of the days until the aftershocks stopped.
