For the older ones, Panos Giotopoulos (or Mezes) was an integral part of Ioannina.
In our adolescence, the cafes of the city center housed our first loves. Panos was walking around the Square, until he found a girl he liked. As soon as he spotted her, he stole a flower and appeared in front of her to offer it to her, saying: “I love you, darling!”. If he accepted the flower, his face would be filled with happiness.
Unfortunately, the older boys did not behave in the best way. They got him drunk to make fun of him. One night when he was drunk, he was swept away by a car.
