Tsivoula and her son had been given a house in a municipal area inside the castle. When Melina Mercouri was Minister of Culture they took her on a tour of the castle, they went to see the hammam that was in the same area as Tsivoula’s house. The mayor explained to her that Tsivoula has been given land there and then Tsivoula started talking to Mercouri with not very flattering adjectives (as usual). Mercouri bowed her head and left.
