The Bonila district used to be called Keramidario. The reason is that there was a factory that made tiles. Also, this district was the largest water supply node of the plain of Pedini. Two pumping stations that were a short distance from each other drew water from the lake, which was channeled through pipes and large ditches in the plain of Pedini. Also, in the district there is Agios Ioannis Bonilas.
