In old Bari, my grandmother tells me, there are historical shops, such as Marnarid, which is a shop where sweets have been sold for over 100 years; there is the Cighiesa, which has stalls and sells souvenirs of Bari; then there is Fiore historic bakery, famous for its good focaccia; finally there is the tradition for many years now of the sgagliozze, polenta fritters, fried and sold on the street; and finally there are the ladies who also make the legendary orecchiette on the street.
